About
Andrea and I jumped in the deep end of the pool when we purchased Cudos - an already successful awards business in Augusta, GA in 2015. We considered keeping the name, but while eating some delicious, crispy-edged pancakes at Cracker Barrel, we saw Blue Ribbon written on an old rusty and bent wall sign and thought Blue Ribbon - First Place – that’s us!
I was a sales rep for the Jostens company, so Andrea, as a “double major in psychology and history with a master's degree in school counseling stay-at-home mom of four nearly perfect children while moonlighting as a church pianist” took the reins of Blue Ribbon Awards and Gifts as CEO, CFO and COO. She was certainly qualified and thoroughly vetted to run an awards business...
After 21 years and 100 million road miles with Jostens, Andrea had a weak moment and hired me as her head trash collector and employee troublemaker - I still hone my craft daily. After a whole lot of on-the-job training, some bumps and hiccups, Blue Ribbon Awards and Gifts has grown from three workers to fifteen wonderful employees. Christy is still with us – bless her heart!
Our first big 5-year goal (other than making payroll) was to be a part of the Awards Associates of America – we did it 4! AA has given us access to exclusive awards and has been a tremendous vat of knowledge from other awards business owners all over the country.
We purchased Allsport Trophy and Gifts in 2018 and Hometown Sports in 2019. Each opened new opportunities in the awards and custom apparel markets.
We pride ourselves with a knowledgeable staff and having state-of-the-art CO2 laser, embroidery, DTF/DTG, UV printing and fiber laser machines. Amazingly, we know how to operate most of them!
In Augusta, we have the privilege to service our incredible folks from Fort Eisenhower, Augusta University, and many other phenomenal local businesses and schools. We are grateful for their support.
Email, call, or come by and see us – we would love to see you!
